PROGRAMMED INVENTORY AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT.
These two applications track parts, supplies, and other inventory, and track programmed maintenance schedules for entire fleets of commercial vehicles. The program prints daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports of inspections accomplished, maintenance performed, work yet to do, and upcoming scheduled maintenance. The program coordinates parts and inventories with maintenance schedule and notifies the user when levels decrease to a trigger point, thereby ensuring constantly sufficient inventory to keep the operation running smoothly. The program also allows vehicle operators to requisition parts and supplies needed to keep their vehicles operational. Requisitions are transmitted via satellite to the home office, processed through appropriate approval channels, and the parts are either shipped from inventory or ordered from suppliers. The program also tracks which vehicles use which parts so trends may be spotted.

Results: Replaced the paper-based systems that performed the same functions, resulting in quicker turnarounds, more accurate inventory stocking, and a noticeably greater percentage of vehicle uptime.
