GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) INTERFACE. Set up GPS units on a fleet of vehicles to interface to the computer. Developed the computer program module to read the data from the GPS unit at preset time intervals (10 minutes, configurable) and post the resulting values to a data table. Transmitted the data table daily to the home office.

Results: Company now has historical GPS positions on all its vehicles, showing where they were at what times. This data has been used in litigation defense to prove the subject vehicle was not at the location at the time claimed by the plaintiff.
