CHURCH MEMBERSHIP AND FINANCES DATABASE. This database tracks the entire membership of the church, including active members, occasional members, former members, and visitors. It also tracks annual pledges, special pledges, and all contributions, whether for regular giving or targeted giving. The database automatically prints out membership rosters of any class of member, and prints selectable-time-span reports of contributions. For example, the church prints out quarterly statements for members, showing all contributions they have made, and how their contributions to date track against their pledges. The program will also print out mailing labels for any selected group of members, and has its database available to Microsoft Word for personalized mail merge letters to all members.

Results: The weekly membership accounting and contribution tallying is now performed in half an hour instead of an hour and a half. Year-end contribution reports are printed at the touch of a button instead of being a three-day project for multiple volunteers. Quarterly reports are printed equally simply, where they were foregone before because of the labor involved. Members feel much better about their reports of contributions, because they know the reports come from a computer and are accurate, and they know other members of the church are not doing the calculations on their giving.
