CHURCH MEMBERSHIP AND FINANCES
DATABASE
|
 |
Church Database Main Menu. This
screen depicts the first screen that appears when you start the program.
From this main menu, you can see how easy it is to get to any of the other
functions in the program. The most commonly used functions are just one
click away. Functions that are used less often may require two or three
clicks to get to. |
 |
Membership Data Entry/Editing Form.
This screen shows how easy it is to keep all relevant data on church
members. Notice how the family name and information is kept in one
section, but you can add any number of individual family members, along
with a number of data fields to contain specific information about each
individual. Also notice at the top the button to see all committees the
selected member belongs to, and the "Find Member" field, to take
you directly to any selected record. |
 |
Committees For Selected Member.
This is the popup screen that appears when you click the "Show
Committee Memberships" button on the Membership Data screen. The
contents of this popup screen change automatically if you change the
record on the underlying screen. On this screen you can add any number of
committee memberships for the currently selected member, along with a
description of committee office held. |
 |
Members of Selected Committee.
This screen shows an example of the versatility of a relational database.
On this screen, you can select any committee on the list, and instantly
see all the members of that committee, along with the description of the
office held. If you add a committee membership on the screen above, then
open this screen that member will show up here right away. Or, if you add
a person to a committee on this screen, then go to the screen above, that
committee membership will appear on their listing. |
 |
Listing of Member Types.
This screen depicts a "List," which is used to populate
drop-down selector boxes. In the Membership Data screen, you have a
drop-down selector for member type. If you need a member type that is not
on the drop-down, you simply come to this screen and add it. Whatever you
add (or delete) here will be instantly reflected on all associated
drop-downs. |
 |
Member Pledge Logging and Tracking.
This screen allows logging of member pledges. Once a year, pledges are
entered into this screen, and you can see the total pledged virtually
instantaneously. This is a tremendous aid in working the church budget. In
addition to seeing the total pledges, you can also print out a list of all
pledges (without member names), sorted from highest to lowest, so the
finance and stewardship committees can see the distribution of pledge
amounts. Also, you can print out a list of pledging members, without
amounts, and a list of non-pledging members, so you can quickly see which
members you need to follow up with. The member names on this screen have
been blurred for privacy. A later version of this screen allows entering
amounts pledged by week, month, quarter, or year, and automatically
calculates the annual pledge. |
 |
Logging Contributions. This
is the screen where you record contributions each Sunday. Before beginning
to use this program, getting an accurate count took more than half an hour
each Sunday. With the program, the counting is usually done in fifteen to
twenty minutes, with no questions about addition accuracy. Note the
"Print Deposit Slip" button, which will automatically print a
deposit slip suitable for including with the bank deposit. The list of
names appearing in the Member drop-down can be filtered according to the
buttons in the upper left of the form, so there are not an excessive
number of names on the list. The member names on the screen have been
blurred for privacy. |
 |
Label Print Selector. This
selector form offers tremendous flexibility in determining which labels to
print. Notice on this form you can select to print labels for all of any
membership type, for members on multiple committees, and you can as well
select the format of what prints on the labels. If you select multiple
committees, and a member is on more than one committee, you will print
only one label for that member. An additional bonus is that the program
includes the ability to start printing labels on partially used sheets. So
if you have used eight labels off one sheet, you can begin printing with
the ninth label, ensuring you don't waste supplies. |
