WORK BOAT OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
SYSTEMS
Sample Set 1
Please see also Tugboat Management Software Screen Shots
for examples of common functions such as Crew On Board or Fuel Logs, that
are common to both these applications.
|
|
Sample Masters' Log. This
is a report that compiles inputs from Vessel Activities, Crew On Board,
Fuel and Lube logs, Safety Logs, Weather Logs, and more into a single
viewable or printable page (or set of pages), that appears in the on-shore
offices exactly as it appears on the boat. Sensitive information, such as
crew names, has been blurred for privacy. |
|
Work Boat Engineer's Log.
On this form, the vessel's engineer records all engine and other
mechanical log information, such as hours, temperatures, pressures, fluid
quantities, etc. The engineer enters the data directly into the
appropriate spaces on this form, and it is automatically transmitted to
shore at the next satellite transmission. This information integrates with
Preventive Maintenance applications, so company engineers can monitor
trends for any mechanical device in the fleet. |
 |
On-Board Grocery Ordering.
This screen illustrates how a boat can place a grocery order while they
are still far from port. They simply designate how many of each item they
want, and their order is automatically transmitted to shore, then
automatically to the grocery vendor by email or fax. Each boat is
allocated a budget, based on crew on board, and the grocery module
requires they stay within their budget. |
 |
Safety Menu. This
picture illustrates another typical menuing system we use in our
applications. Medium-small picture buttons are very quick to use, once the
user learns the program. Until the user learns the program, he has only to
pass the mouse pointer over a button and an explanation of that button
appears below the set of buttons. Notice in this illustration the mouse
pointer is over the fourth button on the bottom row, and the help flash
says "See History Of Safety Meetings." |
 |
Refuse Disposal Data Entry Screen.
This picture illustrates how we can automate forms required by various
regulating agencies. This one is required by the Coast Guard. Notice the
mouse pointer is paused over the "Latitude" field, and a popup
regulatory reference has appeared. See the next picture for the printable
report produced by the data entered here. |
 |
Refuse Disposal Printable Report. This
screen shows the printable report produced from the data entered in the
previous screen. This report is viewable on screen or can be sent to a
printer, either on the boat or on the shore. |
 |
Crew Rating Data Entry Screen. This
screen is where the captain or other supervisory crewmember enters rating
information for crew on the boat. You must have the appropriate password
to access this form. Notice the screen is scrolled to the lower part of
the form. This particular form is a direct transcription of the client
company's existing Crew Rating Form, ensuring the raters are already
familiar with the content, thereby reducing or even eliminating training
requirements. |
 |
Crew Rating -- Printable Report. This
screen depicts the printable Crew Rating Report compiled from the data
entered in the previous illustration. Sensitive information has been
blurred for privacy. This report is viewable on screen, or it can be sent
to a printer, either on the boat or on the shore. You must have the
appropriate password to get to this report. |
