VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS DATABASE

SPXFleetSurvey.jpg (75547 bytes) Fleet Survey Selector Screen. This screen allows the user to specify ranges for any of a number of vessel criteria, and have the database automatically return a list of vessels that match the criteria.  In the example illustrated by this screen shot, you can see the user has specified a vessel length of between 200 and 202 feet, a horsepower (BHP) range of between 5,000 and 10,000, and a Clear Deck Length of between 25 and 125 feet. The program has returned a list of eight vessels that match these criteria. The vessel names have been blurred for proprietary reasons.
SPXSpecSheet.jpg (126614 bytes) Vessel Specifications Sheet. This screen shot illustrates a Vessel Specifications sheet, as produced dynamically by the program from the most current data. The company name and vessel name have been blurred for privacy. Notice the different categories of vessel characteristics, and the various types of data within each category.

The following four examples illustrate how you can control the information that displays in this Spec Sheet.

SPXFieldLabelList.jpg (125076 bytes) Field Labels List Control Screen. This is the screen that allows the user to control which fields are displayed on the Spec Sheet. Notice at the top of the list is a selector for "Category." The categories in this selector are editable also, and correspond to the categories on the Spec Sheet. Notice the ability to enter more Field Labels, and to designate whether they will display on the Spec Sheet, and the additional capability to determine the order in which they display.
SPXVessData.jpg (117132 bytes) Vessel Data Entry/Edit Screen. This screen allows the user to enter the specific data for each field in each category for the selected vessel. The vessel name has been blurred for privacy. Notice the Category selector and the Field name selector. Each data type in the field is also editable (on another screen). On this screen you enter or edit the quantity of each data type label, as illustrated.
SPXFormatDataLine.jpg (123381 bytes) Print Data Line Formatting Control Screen. This screen depicts one of the most powerful capabilities of this application. We devised an efficient print format control language to allow you to control precisely the exact appearance of each print line on the Spec Sheet. There is one print line for each Field Label; each print line can contain multiple data elements, as illustrated. Notice the data elements are the same as illustrated in the previous example, the format string that controls the appearance of the print line, and the preview of the print line itself, as it will appear on the spec sheet, with the appropriate data included. If you will go back and look at the Spec Sheet example, you will see this very line actually printed (5th line down) in the Machinery category.
SPXFormatInstructions.jpg (255127 bytes) Print Data Line Formatting Instructions. This screen illustrates the kind of integrated instant help available for complex operations in our applications. This screen gives a full explanation and tutorial on how to use the proprietary print data line format control in the previous example.
SPXFleetProfileSelector.jpg (65289 bytes) Fleet Profile Selector. With this form, the user can see a full or restricted "Fleet Profile" report. An example of this report is in the next example. You can see from this form that the user can select either "All Vessels" in the fleet, or they can select one or more areas, and they can select one or more vessel types. In the example, you can see the user selected four areas and three different vessel types. The report produced by these selections is in the next example.
SPXFleetProfile.jpg (230468 bytes) Fleet Profile Report. This screen shot shows the report produced by the selector form in the previous example. Notice in the upper right of the report that the restrictions specified on the selector form are summarized, so you know exactly what you're looking at. Certain information on this report has been blurred for privacy.
